Unfortunately the hotel has declined since we last stayed 6 years ago when it was a Macdonald hotel. The annexe we stayed in was shabby and cold and there were no lights in the car park at the back of the hotel and we couldn't see to use the key code to get in the external door.
The staff were friendly and mostly helpful, although I complained twice about the lack of lights and nothing was done. It is the first hotel I have ever stayed in where they have completey run out of towels! I went for a swim while the receptionist hunted down the last one in the hotel, which I had to share with my son.
Breakfast was good. Pool was lovely and warm, but no lockers or toilets in the changing room, which by the smell on one occasion meant that people were using the shower instead!- 03-Nov-2008 |
