 The room was dusty and the shower had hair stuck in the drain blocking it. The pillows, towels and so forth were well worn. However the hotel is well located at the edge of the old city next to the river with a beautiful view. Breakfast is well worth it. And the staff were friendly and helpful. Hiedelberg is stunning and really a worthwhile visit.- 21-Aug-2008 In need of renovation as it is old and tired. Great central location. Staff quite friendly and helpful. Breakfast food fine, but ran out on more than one occasion. There'd be bacon but no eggs, eggs but no sausages - that kind of thing. But the price was good, so on the whole we were quite happy with what we got for our money, and Heidelberg itself is well worth a visit. - 17-Aug-2008 I was delighted with this hotel. I had a lovely room overlooking the Neckar. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The location is fantastic as well. And, to top it all, I got a super price for three nights.
