The main restaurant is very attractive with a high ceiling and clever use of pastel colours in the decoration ensuring a pleasant airy atmosphere.

General
This is a superb hotel offering the elegance and style of a bygone era combined with luxurious facilities more in keeping with a modern hotel.

Although the room was non-smoking the previous occupant had smoked in it and achieved this by covering the smoke alarm with a towel. When we entered the room the towel was still covering the smoke alarm even though the room had been serviced, something the cleaner should have seen, and there was still a heavy smell of smoke. The air conditioning inthe room did not work. A fact we reported to the concierge, and received an electric heater to compensate. Although the room was clean the decor was in need of an upgrade.

Above all, I was in London on a hot day in July 2006. It was a blessing to stay at the Jolly St. Ermins room which comes with pleasant air-conditioning.

Pleasent ambience, staff very friendly and helpful. Bar and external terrace area particularly appealing. Rooms seem above average size for a London hotel.
