Location
NH Doelen Hotel Amsterdam is located in the centre of Amsterdam on the banks of the River Amstel. Close to the theatre district, museums, commercial district and canals. Two minutes walking distance to Rembrandtplein and the flower market. The hotel overlooks one of the city's most charming canals and even has its own docking point for tour boats.
Rooms
The 85 medium sized bedrooms are in good condition. They feature a predominantly red and yellow colour scheme evoking a Laura Ashley style room; being very cosy and elegant at the same time.
Restaurant
This hotel serves breakfast only and the breakfast room has delightful views over the Amstel River. There is also a small bar located next to the lobby and in the hotels former restaurant, there is now a Coffee Company, which serves coffee, cakes and other light snacks in a friendly atmosphere.
General
This hotel has a perfect location and is a brilliant hotel for individuals wishing to experience a little Dutch history and for smaller groups.

 The room was very small for two persons comperd to price.
Carpets in all room not for allergic people.
- 09-May-2009 The hotel is a very nice with a classical style. Service is very good. Breakfast buffet is superb.- 02-Feb-2005 My only problem with the hotel, and over all it was wonderful, was the size of my room. It was quite small I thought for a 4 star hotel, the bathroom, which seemed about half the size of the sleeping area, was really nice. The location however, was the winning feature, minutes away from everything.- 23-Jan-2003 |
