An outsanding hotel with exceptional views and service. Food was delicious -unbeatable in this area of Spain for quality at a fair price. This was my second stay and wont be my last!- 05-Nov-2007 This is a superb hotel in terms of it's dramatic position on the cliffs above the sea and its lovely public rooms, all of which are beautifully furnished and maintained. Without a car its location does present some difficulties as there is no adjacent village or local restaurants and the nearest town Villajoyosa has nothing special to offer. The Costa Blanca coast from Alicante to Benidorm is drab and uninteresting, so the hotel is something of a luxury oasis in an area with little else to offer. The breakfast is excellent but the table de hote dinner starts at a very late hour (8.30pm) and, whilst it may be acceptable for short stays, the menu selection is somewhat limited for longer stays - the fish dishes and the lack of fresh vegetables we found particularly disappointing.
Possibly because we were early in the season and a number of facilities were not functioning fully or effectively, the value for money was not terribly good. - 19-Mar-2007 Thoroughly enjoyed everything about this hotel. Its restaurant is worth special mention. We'll use it again and will recommend it without hesitation. - 22-Dec-2006 |
