The hotel is in a fantastic location, only a few steps from St Marks square. The terrace rest overlooks the Grand Canal and on a nice day is hard to beat. The service is good but like a lot of establishment hotels of this type a little off handed. The rooms seem to vary quite a lot which is typical of hotels in Venice, however all in all they are quite good for Venice. I would stay there again.- 28-Apr-2008 On arrival to the Monaco Grand we were greeted with the most professional reception staff. The rooms were fantastic. Compact, and clean. We had breakfast in our room the first morning at no additional charge. The continental breakfast was fresh and sufficient. We took a day trip to Munrano and the hotel provided us with a complimentary private watertaxi, it made the trip feel really special. I have stayed in Venice before but the Monaco Grand made this visit the best yet and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Three cheers to the staff in the Monaco Grand from a very satisfied Irish Customer- 17-Mar-2008 Great location but pretty average overall. The new look feels like it's still being renovated although I think it is finished. Didn't expect the new look as all the advertising media shows the beautiful elegant old decor. Refused an iron in the room which was a pain in the neck. Also, had to beg to sit outside to have our breakfast even though the restaurant was completely empty! OK - but wouldn't stay there again.- 08-Jul-2007 |
