very bad hotel every day problem because it was cold the rooms

The best thing about the Moderno is proximity to the train station. Rooms are very moderately furnished and have a big mosquito problem in summer. The Breakfast room is only large enough for about a quarter of the guests and we were shunted down the road to another small hotel about 25 mts away. Accommodation is only basic at best. The fans (no air conditioning) are pretty inefficient and keeping windows open guarantees the mosquito attack. We stayed in 3 other hotels in Italy and this was the worst and most expensive and was not good value for money, maybe because it was July and high season.

Advantage - very close to Railway station for an early getaway. Three or four floors and no lift.Booking in is made at the adjoining hotel which provides breakfast, and generally looked a lot better. Entry to the hotel is through a narrow (less than one metre wide) alleyway. Very basic accommodation.
