 For an overnight stay close to the car ferry port this is an excellent hotel. Five minutes to the ferry. Clean and with a good breakfast thrown in plus a good restaurant for an evening meal.- 02-Sep-2009 Excellent Hotel, we have stayed a few times and the friendly greeting is good, old fashioned lovely rooms, great beds for a lovely nights sleep. Close to good restauarants, particularly La Bigoudene just off Place D'Armes. Breakfast a little poor when the hotel is full but definately 5 stars and will be there again soon.- 15-Jul-2009 Don't be put off by the street - in effect the hotel carpark - or the exterior. This is a privately-owned neo-Edwardian gem with character. Super food and service. Period style, but thoughtful modern touches. E.G: wacky automated self-service breakfast, which worked well, and lovely old bathroom basins and taps fitted with ceramic valves. We shall use it again. - 05-Oct-2008 |
