 The hotel is in a very good location close to all main attractions (Bairro Alto, Castle, tram/bus tour stops etc). The only complain I have it's that the room was smelly, probably because of the old pipes in the toilet. We were lucky that the weather was nice and we could keep the windows open all the time. - 10-Sep-2008 When we arrived, the desk clerk told us that a computer snaffu had meant they had double booked. He was very apologetic and personally escorted us (pulling the luggage) to the Hotel Avenida around the corner. The brief look at the Metropole hotel was very encouraging and we would try to stay there on our next visit. A very smooth handling of an overbooking.- 28-Mar-2007 |
