General
While staying at the Metro Apartments on Bank Place Melbourne, you can experience the richness of Melbourne's different cultures from the Greek Quarter around Lonsdale Street, Vietnamese in Victoria Street to the Chinese culture in Chinatown and the Paris End of Collins Street.
 Disappointed with the cleanliness of the apartment. We had to clean out all the cupboards/drawers on arrival and wash all the dishes before we could use any.
We also had to call reception because a light bulb had blown and another time because the cleaners had not refilled the dishwasher powder, however the receptionist could not help us because she was working alone and could not leave the front desk.
The hotel has a 'self given' 4 star rating. Other than the problems mentioned above our stay was reasonable but definitely not 4 star quality.- 08-Aug-2007 We booked about 4 days in advance and for what we needed it was perfect. We just wanted a nice comfy bed and a hot shower and toilet that we didnt have to share. The breakfast they advertised at a place down the road was excellent and we were quite satisfied with the apartment for the price. Only one little comment, it was a little noisy outside our room but the hotel itself couldnt help that! I still managed a good night sleep!
