 really nice location, close to big markets in dotonbori. nice small room as expected in Japan.

The Rooms are tiny like most in Japan and the facilities where fine. There was lightning fast RJ45 internet cable in the room that managed to feed me 3mb/second.
There was no child friendly anything in this hotel BUT saying that the staff where very happy to supply extra anything. Our double room had a double (regular) bed in it against a wall.
There was every kind of extra in the bathroom hairbrush, razor, toothbrush and a few other bits too. the rooms where made up every day (well) .
The hotel is well located in the food / party / shopping end of town and only a few minutes to 2 different sations (Namba being the best to kansi airport) Situated on the Dotomburi the hotel has a 7-11 downstairs.
Maps and info from broken english speaking Reception was a bonus.
VERY good included buffet breakfast.
- 17-Jan-2008 The Metro 21 hotel is located in a night club area of Osaka (Dotonbori) so there is plenty of action nearby with a large number of young adults on the street to all hours of the morning. It is a safe area to walk around and we did not feel hassled at all. It is a 5 minute walk from Nihonbashi subway station and about 8 minutes from Namba subway station. We used a taxi when we first arrived at Namba station to get to the hotel, however we walked to and from the subway many times during our stay. We had two rooms (1 x 4 nights and then 1 x 4 nights after a brief trip to Tokyo). Both rooms were fairly small, one looked out over the entrance street and the other looked at the buildings next door. The double bed (a small doube at that) was up against one wall which may not suit all guests, but it did not worry us. The breaksfast which was included in our tariff was very good and offered a choice of Japanese and western foods. Would we stay there again? Yes!- 26-Aug-2007 |
