Location
The Pelangi Beach Resort and Spa is 7 kilometres from the airport and lies within 30 acres of gardens and pools with large beach on the west coast. Langkawi is the largest of 104 islands situated between the Andaman Sea and the straits of Malacca.
Rooms
The resort has comfortable and well-furnished rooms that are equipped with a host of modern amenities.
Restaurant
There is a number of restaurants including the spice markets, which serves international and local delicacies and the Niyom Thai for authentic Thai cuisine. There is also a beachfront Barbeque called Tepian Centang, and a number of bars or lounges and even a discotheque for guest convenience.
General
Conference facilities are also available for people on business travel. During leisure, you can relax at the swimming pool and sauna, workout at the gymnasium or play a game of tennis at the tennis court.

 Excellent hotel and facilities. Rooms were excellent and very spacious. Staff was very good and courteous. Breakfast was well laid out. Location was excellent and this was contrary to the result of the surveys on this site which stated that the location of the hotel was not convinient.
They however need to improve on the TV channels as they were less.
Will definately stay there again.- 05-Nov-2006 The room was large, quiet, airy and well maintained. The pool and beach were lovely places to spend time and the sunsets over the ocean were amazing every night. The only complaint would be the food. The buffets were varied and pretty tasty but not worth the cost while the breakfast menu was limited and over priced.
However it is a nice short walk down the beach to another resort which has outstanding food and great cocktails at reasonable prices. This is a good, and in our case only, reason to leave the hotel area.- 07-Sep-2005 The room was fantastic - great beachfront location, with a stunning deck area. Large room, with very large and comfortable bed, good storage for clothes and cases and a more than adequate separate bathroom. Restaurants were good, with service usually at a very high level. However, prices are high compared to what is available locally, within a 5 to 10 minute walk from the hotel compound.The bars were a favourite haunt - we particularly enjoyed an early evening cocktail (or two) before dinner, listening to the house band. A choice of swimming pools, or lounging at the beach, helped the days pass in a blissful manner. All in all, a great end to our tour of Malaysia, letting us relax and recharge our energy levels for the long trek home to the UK. - 07-Sep-2005 |
