Located alongside Postiguet Beach, Melia Hotel next to the Marina and few metres away from the City Hall, shopping district, historical city centre of Alicante as well as the Archaeological Museum. This property is a kilometre from the train station and 10 kilometres from the Altet Airport.

 There is an indoor pool, but you have to pay extra for using it. We went in Feb 08 and there is building going on opposite the front of the hotel, so until that is completed, I suggest requesting for a room NOT overlooking the harbour. We had one overlooking the sea and could not hear the building noise at all.
We took a taxi from and from the airport. For some reason it was 20euros to the hotel and 14euros from the hotel with the meter running. The breakfast selection is excellent and the setting for the breakfast room is lovely. We enjoyed our stay and if we visited Alicante again would most likely stay there.- 29-Feb-2008 On arrival room had not been allocated although we had received confirmation of our booking from the hotel. Staff very pleasant and efficient and ammended the problem within half an hour. Most enjoyable stay,close to all amenities in Alicante.- 11-Dec-2007 We were travelling as a family, and were a bit disapointed since the indoor pool was not free to use. Also, we were promised an extra bed free of charge, but had to refer to this promise two times before it was agreed.
Also, the €15 breakfast is quite overpriced - we recommende any nearby café- 08-Nov-2007 |
