 We just returned from a week in Santorini, staying at the Hotel Mathios Village in Akrotiri. I had read reviews stating the hotel was excellent and everything was perfect, I was a little suspicious. Could it really be so great? YES. IT IS GREAT. It is everything you could want from a summer holiday hotel. The hotel is like a family home, with Mama preparing breakfast and dinner and the other members of the family running the pool bar, the reception and other parts of the hotel. Our room was very clean and organised, with a TV, fridge, hairdryer and AC. The bathroom was simple and again very clean. I was very impressed with the attitude of the staff, always willing to help and to do anything they can to make your stay perfect. Akrotiri is a quiet part of Santorini, perfect for a relaxing poolside or beach holiday. There are amazing beaches about 20min walk away (Red and White Beaches). I highly recommend Hotel Mathios Village where we had the perfect holiday.- 06-Jun-2006 |
