The admin/reception side is absolutely chaotic. It took us a long time both to check in and to check out, and they were incapable of giving us a correct bill. In the end, they gave up and didn't bother to charge us for breakfast or newspapers, because it wasn't already on the system and they didn't know how to add it!- 12-Dec-2008 If 'excellent' was an option we would would have ticked that for all criteria. The service was second to none and the bedroom was as good as you will ever find in any decent hotel. The location is absolutely perfect both for out of towners arriving at Lime Street, and for being in the thick of everything once there.
If we 'had' to pick a flaw it was that neither bar seemed to mirror the quality of the rest of the hotel. Both were good though - we would still have a nightcap there - but they seemed to lack that extra touch that was evident throughout the rest of the hotel. The bar staff however were as efficient and polite as the rest of the staff.
