 I arrived to the hotel at abt 4 o'clock in the morning with a large suitcase a big duffel bag and a rucksack. Sure enough I was spotted by hotel personnel but no one offer assistance with my luggage. I took all up to the room as well. I took "smoking" room as I do in most of the places I stay. The room in Marco Polo stinks badly.
The room is huge but there are no special facilities that will give visitor a feeling of the stars assigned to the hotel.
On one occassion I found long hairs on the floor of my bathroom after room cleaning and the other time floor was stained with inprints of the cleaner's soles!
Except for the great location, there is nothing in this hotel what will make me come again.- 16-Jun-2008 The hotel is in a great location - right next to the Star Ferry, and walking distance to great shopping. The service was just great, and the food menu was varied and good quality. However, the walls in the rooms are so thin that normal conversations can easily be heard. But that was the only criticism. Otherwise, we really enjoyed staying there.- 16-May-2008 The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful and everything was done quickly and efficiently. Checking in and out was a breeze. Hotel under going refurb at time of stay so facilities were limited. Also building works immediately outside caused noise from early morning. Breakfast restaurant was excellent for both service and range of food on offer. Location is really excellent, just along from Star Ferry terminal so access to HK Island is easy.
