 Our room was lovely, the only complaint that I had was that it was quite dark as there was no central light and we overlooked the well of the building. The hotel is in a brilliant position in New York as it was close to everything. The staff were very helpful and the hotel was very clean.- 28-Sep-2007 - we requested a non smoking room and were given a smoking room, it smelled terrible. wasn't possible to change
- front desk was unhelpful when checking in, check in was at a ridiculous time (4pm) so we had to put in a good 6hrs wandering the city instead of relaxing a bit
- decor outdated as were the carpets (i didn't want to walk around without shoes
- lifts were ancient and took forever to come
- overpriced for what it was, basically a timeshare place
- location was quite good for being close to central park etc
- concierge was helpful
- toiletries were excellent
