 Hotel is quiet and well located - about 20 minutes to walk to western edge of the French Quarter where all of the action is. Alternatively, the Streetcar, which can be boarded at the front of the hotel, can take you to the edge of the French Quarter in about 10 mins. Valet parking only at the Hotel but at least that makes for a secure parking place. La Madeleine restaurant (located next door) is excellent venue for any meal.
