The hotel Madison is situated in a strategic position, only a few minutes from all major attractions of Milan such as Piazza Duca D'Aosta, the Sforzesco Castle, the S. Ambrogio Church and the Alla Scala Theatre. The main railway station is a mere 100 metre, while the bus stations are 200 metres away. Few metres from the hotel are two underground lines stops that make it easy to reach the lovely city centre, famous for its magnificent monuments, the Via Montenapoleone shopping precinct, restaurants and nightlife.

General
The hall is an ideal base to relax and meet friends or business delegates. The hotel also features 3 meeting rooms for up to 110 persons as well as an internet point.
 The hotel is located near the station in a rather seedy area. The room on the second floor was a bit tired but ok - until I had a bath. When I emptied it water came back up through a drain between the loo and bidet and would have flooded the floor if I'd not noticed in time. Rooms on the 4th floor where breakfast was served looked far better. Breakfast was poor. The boiled eggs were cold, and old enough that there was a blue/green discoloration around the yolk. The water to make tea with was luke warm. The bread was stale. Staff were ok - we couldn't be bothered to complain....- 14-Feb-2008 The room was so small, I felt like I was in prison. I had a back back from sleeping in the room as the bed was sunken, and there was a pepetual stale smoke stench in my room which I couldn't get rid of, and there were only 5 Italian channels, not like the website said they had a satelite TV. The only redeeming thing about the hotel was the decent breakfast and that the room & toilet was clean. - 24-Jan-2008 We got a very friendly reception and were upgraded to a room with a balcony just because, as the desk clerk said, 'we like to upgrade people if we have a better room available'.
The hotel was excellent but just like most hotels located near train stations I would not go walking about alone at night.- 16-Aug-2007 |
