The hotel is really close to Arthur's seat, so very close to the edge of the city, but still only a few minutes (uphill) walk to where all the action is - a perfect location for us. Would definitely stay there again.- 20-Mar-2008 The friendly and helpful staff in all departments of the hotel made this a very pleasurable stay.
the room was excellent. The breakfast choice was extensive and all cooked meals were served fresh and piping hot.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.- 16-Jan-2008 We both thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the hotel and found the staff courteous and most helpful. The standard of the accommodation was unquestionably 4.5 * in our opinion and was luxurious and comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay there again or to recommend it to others. Our only negative observation (and a very small one) is that the listing for leek soup in the restaurant is spelled leak (as in drip) Perhaps our being Welsh adds to our sensitivity over the spelling of our national emblem which is course the leek. Seriously, the overall impression was extremely favourable and we fully intend to return to this lovely hotel.- 17-Feb-2007 |
