 While this hotel is quite close to the Rialto Bridge it can be a little difficult to find being down a narrow alleyway. However, it's worth the search! It has none of the usual fripperies of hotel life but it has a warmth and charm of its own. The rooms are large, well furnished and breakfast is brought to your room each morning at a time to suit you! One problem is that although our room was air conditioned the system seemed to struggle to compete with the ambient temperatures; that said we would certainly stay there again and would recommend it to friends.- 30-Jun-2008 1. The hotel is kind of difficult to find out not only because located on a quiet alley but also because in this area another alley is named the same.
2. The old-fashion-style hotel is quite clean but its some facilities should be improved. For example, it wood floor is a little broken and the heating system of our room, no. 6, is truly weak. As others mentioned, no TV, phone, kettle, minibar in the room.
3. Quite far away from train or bus station. If you walk through many bridges with luggages instead of taking a water bus, you will feel exhausted, especially when checking-in and seeing its long stairs.
4. Staff at its front desk are polite but not passionate at all as well as not very helpful. No tourist information or maps, no electricity adapter, no hot water to offer.
5. Check-out time is 10:30. When at 10:40 we are still in the room, cleaning staff knocked our door and said with unpleasantness,'Dont you know you have to leave before 10:30?'. So impressive !- 31-Dec-2007 |
