 This hotel is very good for summer vacation because of the availability of both beach and pool, but a railway is located just behind the hotel and running trains cause often noisy situation. - 20-Aug-2006 The hotel and facilities are all right. Room for improvement leave (a) the parking lot which is not suitable for bigger cars a/o drivers who are not used to the sicilian narrowness of streets and allays and (b) some duscussion was needed to allow the children to have their plays in the swimming pool even though they were not bothering anybody. Great was the way they helped out - lodging us in a 5* sister hotel at the Caparena rates - when we arrived one day early and the hotel was fully booked. We didn't find waterskiing. - 24-Jul-2006 Visiting the hotel early spring (March), some facilities were slightly retarded and the hotel was probably running on minium staff. Despite this service was excellent and the atmosphere throughout was very friendly. There was a charge for use of sporting / fitness facilities (7 Euros), but it was very pleasant to have all but exclusive use of the large indoor swimming pool (and other facilities). The swimming pool, fitness suite and changing area are excellent. We were told that there is no charge for use of the swimming pool over the summer months, when the overhead canopy is removed. The location is not good for access to the town centre, but the hotel provided a reliable complimentary shuttle service until early evening. A railway runs close to the hotel, but double glazing in bedrooms reduces noise to minimum. Conclusion - very comfortable and recommended.- 01-Apr-2006 |
