I needed a hotel quikley - the only available rooms, that weren't ridiulously priced were in Bayswater. I was dubious, given this area's image as rather run down, and full of budget hotels. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised..
The Leisure Inn is well located, close to 2 tube stations. The nearby high street of Queensway has plenty of shops and resturants, yet the hotel is on a quieter street. At the hotel, staff on reception were very polite. My room was clean and well presented. In common with other reviews on here, the room was TINY. I had an ensuite room with 3 beds in it, all to myself. It's was fine for one person, but not sure how 2 or 3 would have managed in a space this size? Breakfast was simple, cereal and toast, but an overall price of £40 per night can't be sniffed at for B & B. This is not the place to stay if you want all the frills that go with a larger hotel; however, if you are looking for a good value, clean hotel in a central London, this would be recommended.- 07-Apr-2008 Quite small room. Average staff. Good free breakfast. No room service. - 05-Apr-2008 Having read the reviews before booking, we were expecting a small European hotel room but not the incredibly tiny room we got. To clarify, I am Irish so was not expecting a large US sized room. The (almost) double bed was right up against the wall on one side of the room leaving a narrow space the width of a doorway on the other two sides of the bed - not enough for two people (of average height/weight) to comfortable pass each other to get to the closet (with 3 hangers for two people) at the end of the bed. The bathroom door also opened into this narrow space. The chair at the little desk opposite the closet at the end of the bed had to stay under the desk or you couldn't get past it to the closet. The matress was bigger than the base of the bed and hung over the edge slightly. The width of the bed seemed small, with only a few inches to spare between the edges of the bed and the 2 people in the bed. My partner nearly fell out of the bed one morning as he turned over. - 19-Mar-2008 |
