Immaculate century old building that is fresh and crisply painted both inside and outside. Some great antiques and a fabulous stained glass painting from 1927 as well as an an old style elevator that works. High ceilings, clean bathrooms, crisp Egyptian cotton and a location in the centre of historic Alexandria make for a great inner city stay near the famous Trianon and Delices patisseries. Just a delight. No resort facilities here, but there is free internet access -- so come for a complete time warp to an era when things were so much grander and evenly paced.- 07-Jan-2009 |
