They have a very long swimming pool- great for laps after a hot day at the temples. Restuarant and bar are very characterless. They could easily improve this. Especially as the hotel is relatively expensive. Rooms by the river are suprising noisy. As the locals go to work on their motorbikes at 5.00 am.
Outside terrace at the restaurant was also noisy.......this is a bit diappointing as Seim Reap realy is in the middle of nowhere.
- 07-Sep-2005 The Khmer-style architecture flows into the beautifully appointed rooms where local handicrafts are extensively used.
The hotel staff are unerringly friendly and helpful and it''s great to see the Swiss manager, Urs, regularly chatting with both staff and guests.
It IS expensive but if you''re looking for a really special place to base yourself for a few days while exploring the splendour of Angkor''s temples, book into the Pansea @ Angkor. The location, by the way, is excellent and much more convenient for the small town area than the other expensive international hotels. - 07-Sep-2005 |
