 The hotel (which is located in a not very square-like layout) is not well sign-posted, so you may walk round in circles a few times. Reception staff were quite abrupt and largely impolite. The room was basic, wreaked of pungent chemical smell (which I gathered was due to a re-decoration a couple of days before) and the old windows did not close properly (noise, draught etc). Breakfast was definitely below average and there were very limited choices but the breakfast staff displayed more courtesy towards guests. However, the hotel is close to shops/eateries and is within a reasonable walking distance of two underground stations (Central/District/Circle lines). - 17-Mar-2008 The hotel room was very small for two people. Cleaned daily. Location was good. Close to Underground great for getting around London. Noisy with the backpacker hostel close by as the windows facing street level are not soundproofed. Overall an enjoyable stay.
