For tourism, the location is far from the center, but the underground is close to the hotel and is very easy to arrive in Marienplatz.- 04-Nov-2008 Get a internal courtyard facing room & ask the hotel staff to oil the wheels on the early morning kitchen stocking trolley to avoid and early wakeup call. Apart from that very quiet so you can leave your windows open all night and avoid airconditioning.
Excellent breakfasts with plenty of choice that are included in the room tarrif. Close to S & U train station/s with plenty of trains to the CBD as well as Messe Conference Centre on U2 line. - 23-May-2008 If you are going to the K+K on business, maybe this is the hotel for you. For general Munich tourism, maybe not so much. While the hotel was clean, comfortable with friendly staff...The location certainly isn't the best (even considering costs). You will want to U/S-Bahn your way into the main tourist areas, or walk about 30-40min...1hour if you stop frequently for pictures. It was a nice walk however, but you can find similarily priced hotels significantly closer to the Old Town areas. The area is nice though, and we felt safe at all times.
Breakfast was lacking somewhat. While it offered hot items (scrambled eggs..etc...) it was easily the lowest quality out of the hotels we stayed at on this trip (some 3 star only).
Still...It's a safe bet to stay here, just a walk or u/s-bahn away from things.
