A classic old British coaching inn full of character with a modern restaurant. The room was comfortable, the location (centre of Wimbourne) great, and it passed the 'breakfast test' with flying colours - i.e. the hot breakfast was freshly cooked from quality ingredients and served promptly at table - definitely NO crowded serve-yourself buffet with congealing fried eggs and cheap cool sausages!- 02-May-2008 Regarding service, for the last 2 visits the key for the room allocated was missing, and the room had to be changed, prolonging check-in.
Service at breakfast was generally acceptable except on Easter Sunday when the only 2 girls serving were overwhelmed because of the numbers of guests. I protested on check-out but was told it often happens when too many guests require breakfast at the same time. - 14-Apr-2007 |
