 I booked my 93 year old father in law and his 88 year old wife into this hotel. I spoke to the hotel in advance and they reserved for them the nearest room to reception on the ground floor. This proved to be spacious, comfortable,quiet and convenient - the restaurant is the same floor. In all our contacts with the staff they were helpful and courteous.- 11-Jun-2008 Service was very efficient and the room they gave us was fantastic (512). Food was good and restaurant staff friendly.
Nice location and beautiful grounds. I was glad they had signs on the road to show how to get there -when I stayed there last year (when it was the Marriott Hotel) I got lost twice! - 14-May-2008 This is a lovely hotel, which has recently undergone refurbishment. However, the room was slightly disappointing (no robe, no extra blankets, very cold). Service at dinner was good although the meal seemed overpriced for the standard of food presented, however service at breakfast was dreadful, but the food was very nice. The hotel is in an excellent location close to the city centre, and is quiet with lovely grounds, but there is not enough parking available. I recommend the hotel for its location, but don't expect too many frills during your stay.- 16-Jan-2008 |
