My room was at the back of the hotel and you can hear quite a lot of noise, it did not disturb me though.
Cleanliness and condition of the room was not that great for a 4* hotel, a bit disappointed.- 04-Jun-2008 The hotel is situated 2 minutes from Avenue Louise one of the main shopping streets in Brussels and relatively close to the center of the city. The metro is at 10 minutes distance.
The breakfast is decent but can be improved to worth the price charged. The rooms are very classic and noisy if faceing the street. There are rooms facing the interior court quiet and pleasant.
The hotel does not have facilities, even a restaurant.- 28-Feb-2007 The hotel is situated in a quiet street with a choice of good restaurants and brasseries nearby. The breakfast provided is not cheap at 22 Euros but is good value and served with breathtaking efficiency by friendly staff. Our big problem was hitting Brussels in a heatwave and having an upper floor south ( back ) room which had no air conditioning. Staff did provide an electric fan on request but it made no real impression on the room temperature. The hotel does need air conditioning in beroom areas It could also benefit from a second lift since the small existing lift has to be used by both guests and cleaning staff - the stairs are narrow, steep and winding and best avoided.
One unsung benefit is the proximity - at the end of the street - to the Brussels tram line. At 1.5 euros for a journey it is a real bargain and you do not hear it in the hotel.
I would certainly use the hotel again.- 29-Jun-2005 |
