The room was dirty but the location was fantastic. It was located at the main street of this city and was just a few minutes walk to the shopping mall. The palace was around 20 minutes walk in distance all the way up to the pole of the street but highly recommended to take a cab if you wanted to avoid walking under fierce sun. The outlook of the hotel was built in colonial style and worthwhile taking some photos. A very bad experience was that my father and wife was got caught in the hotel lift while I was out the hotel entrance in the airline counter to reconfirm the seats. I was told it took almost 5 minutes then somebody in the hotel got to know the lift was out of order and rescued them. The facilities needed extensive renovation to remain attractive. Not recommended for the time being. - 28-May-2007 The hotel is very close to the main shopping centre, so it is very convenient. I find the traffic noise a bit too much for comfort. They should do better in their rooms, for example, the bath room does not have a stop plug for the bath tub and the shower hose is hardened, making it difficult to take a shower. They must improve their airport tranfer service. They missed me upon my arrival, they waited for me at a wrong exit point, though the guy denied it! And they refused to pick me to the airport at my appointed time, instead, they offered to send me at their scheduled time, which was too early for me. I needed to see the duty manager to sort this out, which I think is not necessary at all.
Otherwise, this is quite an okay hotel to stay. The staffs are very friendly.- 07-Sep-2005 The hotel sounds: "vergane glorie", which means that by the absence of maintenance the old atmosphere from 10 years ago is gone; there is sometimes no warm water for showering in the morning, the lamps do not work; it gives an impression of sadness. All is old and has not been adjusted since we were there 10 years ago. They advertise with no smoking rooms, but in reality all rooms are smoking rooms; they just spray the rooms so that the smoking smell would gone; but is is not effective.
The bathrooms look very old and is not maintained. The "old grandeur" is gone, while the prices and the reputation is still aligned to that former level, which they can not achieve. The attitude of the staff is extraordinary client-centered and the problem-solving attitude is great. My critics do not concern the personnel, but rather the condition of the building. - 07-Sep-2005 |
