 Overall I would not stay at this Hotel again unless they do a major refurb. The last time I came here was ten years ago and thought it was nice. Shame they have not done anything with the Hotel since. The Swimming pool had tiles missing everywhere, dangerous, easy to cut your feet.- 26-May-2008 Both my husband and I found the concept of the hotel is ideal for a getaway. The room is clean and the bathroom too. The view is cool - faces the sea and shades from the casurina trees offers a relax mood.
The only setback was that the there were lots of mosquitoes. I would suggest that the management could fumigate the area often say, quarterly to curb the mosquitoes from breeding. My daughter had the most bites. But overall the hotel is a wonderful place to unwind and relax.- 07-Sep-2005 Having stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, my overall view of the hotel would lead me to say that it (the hotel) was pretty run-down and poorly maintained. My wife & I had to combat the dozens of mosquitoes during the night as our mosquito net was kind of ''holey'' (full of holes). Another ''holey'' feature our room had to offer was the roof which leaked quite a bit after a ''not too heavy'' rain. Another disappointment we had faced was the poor housekeeping as we were greeted by the dirty dishes we had left outside our room door after our 1st night''s room service for the next 2 days. Housekeeping had obliviously left those dishes there, immediately outside our room door, even after they had cleaned up our room. In conclusion, the greatest draw the hotel had to offer was its long & white sandy beach which the hotel fronted & its traditionally tall ''kampong style'' architecture which allows for a nice & breezy atmosphere within the premises of the hotel. - 07-Sep-2005 |
