The shower and tv in the room did not work at all. The light shade above the bed fell off in my hand when searching for the light switch in the dark. The bar area was full of stale cigar smoke. The reception failed to set up an account for me so I was unable to charge drinks to my room. There are alarming warning signs posted througout the hotel warning of severe punishment (clamping and a £90 release fee) for daring to park in the hotel car park (as a resident!) without a permit. Breakfast is a dire and drab affair. The credit card machine had broken down when I tried to check out in the morning. I was promised that a receipt would be sent in the post to my home. Needless to say, they didn't send one. The reception staff happilly chatted amongst themselves about wanting to leave and couldn't care less about my comments on checkout. I doubt the shower or tv will have been fixed. No notes were taken.
Steer well clear of this hotel. - 14-Nov-2006 The hotel itself has very good facilities (indoor swimming pool, spa, sauna etc..) and communal areas, and a great breakfast to boot with almost everything you can think of freshly cooked. The location is also good, being only a 3-4 minute walk from the Metro and pretty easy to find by car. However, our room was a bit small and in need of an update. Also, we had to climb several flights of stairs with luggage as there was no lift.- 14-Sep-2006 The hotel was very well situated for the Metro.
The room was clean and comfortable.
The food was good (breakfast only), and the staff were very friendly.- 31-Aug-2005 |
