Location
Hyatt Regency Auckland towers on a hill overlooking Auckland's harbour, city and parks, and is just a short walking distance from the city centre, university gardens and waterfront.  The hotel is on a large hill above the main city area.- 07-Sep-2005 The staff were very helpful, especially in planning walking excursions. But everyone should present, on check-in, their confirmation number and original-quoted room rate. We had this when we checked in, but did not keep it for the check-out two days later, at which time the hotel was going to charge us quite a bit more money than originally quoted. But it worked out okay. Also, at the present time there a large building going up right next door, on the south side (harbour side). So if you don''t mind the noise of hammers, etc. early in the morning, ask for a room at the north end of the building for the harbour, or a garden-view room.- 07-Sep-2005 The hotel gave us a suite!!! I paid 100.USD/night. I do not know whether it was because they had some overbookings and so they had to upgrade us to such a room. Anyway, I am glad I booked with you. Pls. investigate what happened, I am very curious to find out whether the room we got was really what we paid for or whether were upgraded!!
