Reina Victoria is a beautiful old hotel filled with amazing antiques and art. It's a little a way from the bullring and new bridge in Ronda but close enough to walk in 10 minutes or so. It's right on the cliff so the rooms on that side have a beautiful view, there are some palm trees blocking if you are on the first floor. The rooms were large and beautifully appointed, the A/C was not good and the floors and beds were squeaky. The normal price per night for high season was around 120 euros, the rates to go price was much better at 70. I think we'd return, especially if it were in a cooler time of year.- 29-Jun-2007 Brilliant chill out week-end. Next time we will stay longer to really enjoy the beautiful views from the terraces.- 18-Jan-2007 Rooms overlooking the gorge are fabulous. Parlors numerous and full of period detail including original 1904 wall paper brought up from Gibraltar. Gardens extensive - visited in November but will return in the spring - to stay at the hotel, but especially to see the gardens when the weather is better. Bar/lounge comfy and welcoming. Victorian without the stuffiness. If your Spanish isn't up to par, you'd better have a dictionary handy to deal with the reception desk.- 27-Nov-2006 |
