 Nice Hotel on the fringe of a rough neighborhood.- 23-Feb-2008 The hotel is well appointed and modernly refurbished and within a few minutes walk to Bloomingdales and the tram turnaround. The only downside is it is located in an area with a high homeless persons population. We didn't have any problems but a single person may not feel comfortable late in the evening.- 02-Nov-2007 this is a funky hotel. The decor is funky and quite a surprise.
the location is a few blocks from Powell Street cable car terminus.
We found the neighbourhood to be somewhat scary. the locals sleep anywhere and do anything and its just nearby that the refuge is.
however if you can deal with that the place is good. The staff will order a shuttle to the airport and will store baggage until pick up on the check out day.
The rrom didn't have air con which on a hot day could make it not so pleasant.
The room was clean and there is free internet access on the mezzanine level.
