Though on the small side for the room this was a really good hotel. Situated at the top of the hill in Lam Kwai Fong, with all the attractions of the area, the hotel is very stylish with a very good reception service and the rooms were also extensively furbished (DVD/CD player etc). Reasonably priced for HK.- 08-Jun-2007 The hotel and staff were excellent.Rooms are well appointed and the layout is excellent. I only have one negative comment concerning the excessive noise level of the air conditioning in my room. This appears to be a design fault and fortunately due to the time of the year I was able to shut off the fan at night time. Other than that well done to Hotel LKF. The staff were excellent at accomodating my unusual requirements. - 25-Feb-2007 Decided to go for this more expensive hotel to give ourselves a real treat at the end of our holiday, and it certainly was! Probably the only real 5 star hotel I've ever stayed in - impecable service, huge room and lots of great luxuries, both big and small (such as an espresso machine in the room, huge plasma TV with surround sound, high quality toiletries and free newspapers). Not sure about extra facilities such as gym and pool - we weren't told about any, but that's not to say they weren't there.
Although the hotel is very close to Central station (and the airport station via an underground walkway), a tip would be to NOT walk up Wyndham St when you exit the station (it is very steep), but instead go up D'Aguilar St. Even better, turn off D'Aguilar about half way up and on to the laneway Lan Kwai Fong (if you can find it), which ends right at the street level lift for the hotel. A taxi would be really cheap too.- 08-Sep-2006 |
