 The hotel was adequate. We selected it on price. However we want a hotel that is clean with comfortable beds and it met both of those criterion. The only drawback is that it is a distance away from things to do in Muscat. With a rental car, it was no problem. Breakfast was 2 Rials extra, so we shopped for things for breakfast and ate much cheaper. - 15-Apr-2008 Hotel Golden Oasis is just away from the busy Muscat City Centre in a quiet location, facing a low mountain range. Accessible from the CBD or via the beautiful coastal Corniche Road, and Al Bustan area.For the price of a Cheaper Hotel in Muscat, this will do fine. The Rooms are clean and comfortable,and in-Room Dining is fine with a wide variety of Arabic, Egyptian, Chinese and Indian Cuisine to choose from.There's also an Internet Cafe so you can touch base with the Digital World.The hotel is just about 5 to 8 minutes to the Business District by Taxi. For early morning Departures from Muscat Airport, or from the Ruwi Bus Terminal, I suggest you pre-book a Taxi with the Front Desk a day earlier,because Taxis are a rarity plying the route in the early hours of the morning, 5:30 am - 7:00 am. The Hotel is in its expansion program so business is gaining momentum. Be sure to book this Hotel if budget and peace of mind is what you'd want to have in your business travels to beautiful...Oman.- 07-Apr-2008 The location of this hotel is great since it is located close to muscat city and other interesting places. Staff are friendly . However the room was not as good as what you expected it to be. I have booked from [website] for triple bed but was initially only given a double bed (they do not have triple bed) soo later an extra bed was added in into my room and that have made the room less spacy. The lift was old ( i would call it as shaking lift). Parking was difficult especially at night. I have travel with my 2 young kids- the hotel was quiet and they had slept well t/out the night.
