Hotel 81 Palace is located in Geylang, which is in the east of Singapore, well known for being a food Mecca district and vibrant night life. Though Geylang is officially designated as red-light district, you can find families and couples flocking to numerous coffee shops and restaurants, on weekends. The property is just 25 minutes from Changi International Airport and a 10-minute walk from the MRT station.

Guests can relax at the hotel's lobby. Which is also an ideal place to meet friends.
 The rooms are too small. There is no refrigrator. But the Hotel was clean and well serviced. The location of the hotel is not good for a family.- 21-Nov-2007 Females be warned - the hotel is in the red light district and it is probably best not to stay here on your own. - 15-Jul-2007 Third time for me at the Hotel 81 chain, and this was by far the worst. The room was so smokey that it smelled disgusting. The rest was okay. It is clearly a hotel for those looking for a place near the action, and the guy and gal across the hallway gave me quite a audio show in the morning for about an hour. She was a screamer!!!
