Hotel 81 Palace is located in Geylang, which is in the east of Singapore, well known for being a food Mecca district and vibrant night life. Though Geylang is officially designated as red-light district, you can find families and couples flocking to numerous coffee shops and restaurants, on weekends. The property is just 25 minutes from Changi International Airport and a 10-minute walk from the MRT station.

 First time i stayed in the this chain of hotels. It was a pleasant experience. The rooms are extremely small but adequate with tea coffee maker, televesion, aircon and even a hair dryer. Lacks a refridgerator though. The bathroom is small with a shower and there is no bath tub. I had a room overlooking the road but many of the rooms have no windows. the location is good. plenty of small eating places within minutes walking. bus stop is 5 min away and Aljunied MRT is 10 mins walk. overall a good budget hotel. will definitely stay again. recommended for single males only. please avoid with families and children. - 17-Oct-2006 |
