The hotel's lobby is an ideal place to relax or meet friends after a tiring day..
 I stayed in the Gaylan(?) hotel. It is basic but adequate accommodation. The only wierd thing is that they wanted to charge me to have the telephone, (already in the room), connected so that I could make or receive calls (ok, only S$1). This is the only hotel in the world that I have stayed that has attempted to charge me for using a phone (other than the call costs of course). It is at least 10-15mins walk from the nearlest MTR station and I am a snappy walker! They also tried to round the contribution I had to pay the hotel directly, up to the nearest dollar. Naturally, on both counts I resisted with success. They just tried it on. ok to stay here, just keep your wits about you!- 01-Jun-2008 The location is in a prostitute area, so starting 7 pm onward, the street already full of prostitute's girls and they are standing in front of Hotel's gate.
The wall between room are made from wooden, so any sounds from the other room we can hear vice versa.
In my opinion, the hotel accept the prostitute girl to stay in the room, because in the night time, I can hear they are very noisy.- 06-Mar-2008 The hotel is right in the middle of Singapore's red light district.
