For spending time on the harbour this hotel could not be better located! Superb views from the roof top swimming area too. The open plan atrium, the layout inside, raised restuarant and cosy bar area all make the best of the shape and size of the building - an old converted warehouse of some kind I should imagine. The Rocks area is buzzing and there is agood market on the weekend. The Tourist information place is right next door and the staff there was so helpful. Must also mention the concierge at the hotel who was excellent in helping to book out tall sips sailing trip. As far as price is concerned, it's all about location. My wife and I got a good deal staying here as I used my existing + bonus 50 member dollars too stay (breakfast included) , and she had reward points from previous business trips (beakfast not included with her booking though). Not sure if I would pay full price to stay there though. Great if you want some where within a lower budgert as a special treat though.- 31-May-2008 The hotel is in an excellent location for the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Botanical Gardens and Circular Quay. This is a prime location for transport around Sydney and beyond, and boasts the most wonderful views of the city from the hotel roof top.
The hotel is clean, the food of a good standard, and the service was flawless. We were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff. The only suggestion we would make is that the evening menu might benefit from more variation.- 15-Sep-2005 This Hotel is in a great location. You have dining, shopping and transportation all around. 5 minute walk to the harbor (Circular Quay) to catch a ferry to almost anywhere you need to go. At Circular Quay, you can also catch the Train as well as a bus. There are several resturaunts along the harbor within walking distance from the hotel. There is a five story mall right down the block from the hotel as well. The staff is excellant, and always willing to please. The Dining in the hotel is top notch also. They have a wonderful breakfast bar where you can have alomst anything you wish. From the rooftop pool you have a beautiful view of the Opera House as well as the city of Sydney. The Opera House is right across the harbor and is within walking distance. Every Saturday and Sunday, they have a market that sets up right outside the hotel. Its not a food market, but a market where people sell handmade items and nick nacks. It is a clean hotel and a great place to stay.- 03-May-2005 |
