The hotel was clean - fairly standard for holiday inn, and the location is pretty good for exploring manhatten. However the staff at the front desk were extremely rude, arrogant and very unhelpful. The concierge was a bit of a character - tried to convince us to take private taxis which were horrendously overpriced and from which he would get a massive cut - and then when I insisted I would be fine in a yellow cab - he also took a commision from the cab driver - who of course added it to my fare!- 08-Mar-2008 Twin /Double Room for 5 nights cost GBP 1400, only facility was iron & board, coffee machine, no fridge or mini bar. Hotel was generally clean. Restaurant service was poor, why not remove the glass table covers for evening service? Bell Captain service was very good as was the concierge.- 10-Dec-2007 |
