 Basic, but friendly staff. Great location, not in the middle of noisy activities. Very hot water, watch your toes.- 04-Nov-2009 Yup, here again on return to Montevideo from the interior. Good, clean, cheap hotel with excellent level of basic services (breakfast, wifi) and friendly, helpful staff. Will be coming back regularly.- 22-Jul-2008 Hotel is old and quirky, but staff are friendly and helpful and it is clean & cheap. As they say in Uruguay: "BBB" - Bueno, Bonito y Barrato! The street of the hotel has a few night clubs / strip clubs but the hotel is secure and I encountered no drunken revellers. This time I stayed a longer period. On Friday/Saturday nights the pounding music from these clubs can still be heard within the hotel, however - but you soon get used to it.
