 There is no swimming pool although there is a picture of one behind the reception desk. The three course meal for £19.95 per person which included a bottle of house wine was very good value. The car parking was expensive at £21. I would stay there again but not go by car.- 17-Oct-2009 excellent location - right there in the city centre, lovely breakfast but the first room we had had poor lighting, the main light didnt work, so we wre changed to another room and it was fine.- 27-Aug-2008 First impressions count and they certainly made an impression on us. The receptionist was rude, unfriendly and a very bad representative for Hilton hotels. I stay in hotels with work every week and have never experienced such an unfriendly service when checking into a hotel. We'd requested a twin and was put into a double - this was rectified by moving us to a twin which had not been refurbished. We ate in the restaurant and found a piece of plastic in the bread roll. This was brought to the attention of the waiter and he apologised and advised that he'd let the Chef know. We complained to the duty manager about the above and were given a bottle of champagne & free parking.
This was a special weekend I'd arranged to say goodbye to a close friend and sadly we were left with a very bad impression of Hilton hotels.
I'm staying at the Hilton in Nottingham with work tonight - let's hope it's a better experience. - 28-Feb-2008 |
