 Mountain view in beautiful room. Friendly sporty atmosphere. What a view to wake up to- trips great. Terminal Glacier Lake a must- Hooker Valley walk too. A one off trip perhaps but still good fun.- 01-Nov-2009 Weather can always be bad, but when it is you expect to be able to use the indoor facilities. Both the cinema and planetarium were not availabe. Roomhad great view but décor was tired. Restaurant food was poor. Overall hotel was below standard expected by a long way. Even more so considering it's price relative to other scenic hotels in new Zealand . Disappointing!- 22-May-2009 The hotel is great but we stayed at the motel which is cheaper but 800m away from the main hotel complex, no trouble if you're driving.
The room is clean but a bit cold despite the room heater. Good thing the electric blanket works.
Price is a tad high but considering the location, it is acceptable. Will take the rooms in the hotel next time though.- 10-May-2009 |
