 In our opinion this is the best located hotel in Dublin. You have the enterence to the RDS arena at the gate of the hotel. Turn to the right as you go out the main door and you step into Herbert Park, which is a beautiful park for a very plesant walk. There is a very good public bus service from Ballsbridge and then you have an a good train service with in a 10 minute walk. All in all The Herbert Park Hotel is the place to stay.- 06-Jul-2009 My wife and I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and have always come away with a feeling of having had a good experience.This is largely due to the friendliness and professionalism of the various staff members with whom we came in contact. The food in the restaurant was most acceptable both in range and taste on our most recent visit and the restaurant staff were most pleasant.The hotel location adjacent to the trees , grass and ornamental ponds of Herbert Park sets it in natural surroundings despite it being in the city and allows easy access to a pleasant walking facility.For those who come by car the free and very easily accessible basement car park represents a bonus.If there is one shortcoming it is the absence of a tea making facility in the bedrooms.However the plus factors well outweigh this one negative. - 09-Sep-2007 if your going to the RDS for a show or simular the location is perfect - 18-Jul-2007 |
