Step into the elegant foyer of the Harbour Rocks Hotel and you will feel as though you have entered a bygone era. This heritage-listed building in the heart of Sydney is on the site of the city's first hospital. Built by twelve convict carpenters, and sixteen hired men, it offers a fascinating glimpse into Sydney's past, and is a unique base from which to explore the city today.

Location
Situated in the heart of the Rocks precinct, the hotel is a popular home for many international travellers due to its proximity to Sydney's tourist attractions including the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, bars and restaurants, Australian style shopping and the CBD.

Rooms
All 55 rooms at the hotel are well appointed and equipped with modern amenities whilst preserving the historic charm of the 150-year-old building. All rooms are fully air-conditioned and have opening windows, which enable you to enjoy the harbour breezes.

Restaurant
Lanes restaurant and bar is the perfect place to meet and enjoy superb Australian cuisine in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The Terrace, which overlooks the historic laneways of The Rocks precinct, offers an intimate private outdoor area.

Stayed for business and was most acceptable, will stay again

Great location - if a little hard to find . No complaints at all. Didn't eat there but a drink at bar. Comparative prices. Some great old pubs & restaurants in short walking distance & very near to Circular Quay.
