A beautiful grand old hotel right in the centre of the city, the perfect location for everything! Staff were well informed, polite, helpful and friendly. Rooms were a good size, with all amenities, including wireless internet in the rooms and a bathtub in the bathroom. Very good value for money. Minibar was slightly pricey, but much less than other 5-star hotels, and considering the price of drinks in Scandinavia, was fair enough. Beautiful decor and paintings round the old building, and the Skylight bar was nice for an evening, and overall it was a very pleasant stay. Tea and coffee in the rooms would have been a nice extra but that is only a minor thing, it's not like there is a lack of coffee houses near the hotel. Breakfast buffet was superb, and on Sunday was moved to a larger room to accommodate all the selections. I have stayed in a lot of 5 star hotels, but this one I would recommend and would use again. - 20-Dec-2007 Was expecting the rooms to be of a higher standard- 19-Aug-2006 A gracious hotel which has many features of the past. Excellent hotel in centre of city.- 09-Jul-2006 |
