Location
Grand Hotel Plaza is situated in the heart of the historical centre of Rome, just few steps away from Trinita dei Monti, otherwise known as the Spanish Steps - home to Via dei Condotti and the best shopping in Rome. The hotel is also the ideal departure point for sightseeing with many of Rome's major historical sites only a few minutes walk away.
Rooms
All 200 rooms and suites are spacious with high Victorian ceilings and large marble bathrooms. The rooms are decorated with period furniture, historic lithographs, and oriental rugs. The beds are crisply dressed with Italian linens.
Restaurant
Guests can start off the day with the delicious breakfast served in the elegant surroundings of the Salone Mascagni. Located on the Lemon Terrace with magnificent views of the Spanish Steps and Rome, the Cocktail Bar serves a selection of refreshing drinks and light snacks.
General
The Olive Terrace is an exclusive place for relaxation with sun beds, comfortable chairs, parasols and shaded areas. The scent of fresh Olives mingles with the fragrant bouquet of a whole host of different flowers which flourish in the warm Mediterranean climate.

 Beautiful hotel, perfectly located in Rome, definitely a place for a bit of luxury although would break the budget to stay for a long time. A couple of nights or one night splurge makes it perfect!- 19-Aug-2008 We chose the hotel for its location and 4 star rating. We found the hotel is in a perfect location but it is so very old, with very dimly lit lighting. The rooms and facilities were old and rather outdated . We'd asked for two connecting rooms as we traveled with two kids but they were not available (which is understandable.) The registration staff the morning we arrived was very helpful in finding us one room for early check-in, though the room was extremely small, even smaller than tiny standard ones we used to stayed in Tokyo 4 star. (The other room they arranged for us later were almost twice the size of the former, in a different wing totally but still on the same floor.) Breakfast was good. In all, service was good, but for the price we paid, we expect the hotel in a better condition.
