A grand hotel dripping in slightly faded elegance, but none the worse for it. Helpful staff, great location being midway between the older parts of town and the chi-chi shopping district, and a great breakfast.- 26-Jan-2005 The hotel is in an excellent location in central Palermo. Grand entrance and common ambients. Opulent and decadent atmosphere from another era - but may benefit from some restauration. Rooms are very large. Truly good and abundant buffet breakfast. Excellent service.
We found the hotel very romantic and appreciated its charme. Some others (especially from the US, I suspect) may be a bit put off by the lack of modern upkeep and amenities (e.g. satellite TV).- 09-May-2004 We had a wondeful time in the hotel. Location was great. A walking distance to most points of interest. The room was large and nice and the bathroom huge and spotless.
The staff was very professional and helpful.
The food in the restaurant was extremely good. We had excellent dinners there!
Breakfast was good. It was served in a beautifully decorated room.
We felt like kings in this former palace.
Highly recomended! - 27-Feb-2004 |
